About Us
Learn about our dedication to Latin home-style cooking and great service. We offer excellent soups daily and a variety of seafood options in a family-style setting.
Our Story
We have been serving authentic Colombian food for over 30 years in a casual, family-style setting. Our dedication to Latin home-style cooking and great service makes us the perfect setting for the everyday — and for any occasion.
A gastronomic paradise from Colombia in New York, La Pequeña Colombia has become a beloved fixture in the heart of Jackson Heights. The same culinary experience now extends to our Astoria location, bringing the flavors of Colombia to even more diners across Queens.
Some of Our Dishes
Our kitchen is known for its daily soups, prepared fresh with traditional recipes:
- Sancocho de Costilla or Cola — hearty beef rib or oxtail soup
- Ajiaco — classic Colombian chicken and potato soup
- Sancocho de Gallina — traditional hen soup, served on Sundays
- Lentil and vegetable soups — wholesome daily options
Seafood lovers will find plenty to enjoy: grilled fish, salmon, breaded fish, coconut fish, marinated red snapper, and a variety of shrimp preparations. Landlubbers can dig into Plato Montañero, Chorizo, Arepas, and our famous Entraña (skirt steak).
Drinks to Match
Pair your meal with one of our popular cocktails. Guests love our Frozen Sangria, margaritas, chocolate martinis, and mimosas. At our Astoria location, Happy Hour runs Monday through Friday from 3pm to 7pm.
